Omschrijving: Prachtig Kilim vloerkleed met een illustratie van bloemen. Het kleed is handgeknoopt in Roemenië uit de jaren 40/50. 
Het was een traditie in Roemenië om als moeder zo'n kleed mee te geven als de dochter ging trouwen. Families kwamen dan bij elkaar om met elkaar het wollen kleed te knopen.

Staat: In een mooie vintage staat. De zijkanten vertonen slijtage, maar dit geeft ook een bepaalde charme aan het kleed. De kleuren en patronen zijn helemaal gaaf en helder.

Description: Beautiful Kilim rug with an illustration of flowers. The rug is hand-knotted in Romania from the 1940s/50s.
It was a tradition in Romania to give such a rug as a mother when the daughter got married. Families would then come together to knot the woolen rug together.

State: In beautiful vintage condition. The sides show some wear, but this also gives the rug a certain charm. The colors and patterns are completely intact and clear.
